FACA is pleased to provide a variety of resources for those involved in animal service.

Check here often for new items submitted by our members to share.

We are particularly proud of our book “Florida State Laws Relating to Animals” as the only comprehensive compilation of such laws, containing as well excerpts form the Florida Administrative Code and the USDA Animal Welfare guidelines.  The book is updated each year after the Florida legislative session.

In addition, FACA is one of few state organizations which has produced its own training manual for Animal Control Officer certification. Created in 2009, this Florida-specific manual is in use by the five community colleges around the state who train certified ACOs according to FACA’s standards and Florida Statute 828.27(4)(a)1.

Other resources available here include the most recent grants and awards forms:

SOS – Small Organization Support Grants are given each year to animal control agencies with ten or fewer employees for equipment or like purchases. Funds for the grant are raised at the annual FACA Educational Conference Silent Auction.

Awards Program – FACA honors its own in several categories each year, including ACO of the Year, Outstanding Team Achievement, and Agency of the Year. Awardees are announced at the annual FACA Educational Conference.
