Agency of the Year


BASE CRITERIA for Agency of the Year award:

  1. Must be a current Regular Member of FAPAA.
  2. Must have an effective training program for animal protection personnel.
  3. Must have an effective public education program.
  4. Must be actively involved in its community.
  5. Must have an active spay/neuter program.
  6. Must have an effective cruelty investigation program or ordinance violation complaint program.
  7. Must have an effective working relationship with other related organizations, i.e., health department, police/sheriff’s department, humane society, shelters, etc.
  8. Must utilize the media as necessary or appropriate.
  9. Must have plans designed to reduce euthanasia numbers and increase quality adoptions.
  10. Must comply with F.S. 823.15 and have records readily available on request.
  11. Must comply with F.S. 823.151 and demonstrate initiatives to increase direct return to owner in the field.
  12. Must be willing to submit to an onsite inspection by a FAPAA Board member.

AGENCY OF THE YEAR NOMINATION FORM:  This form must be included with nomination 2024 FAPAA Agency of the Year

NARRATIVE OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS/PERFORMANCE:  Please include separately, along with any supporting documents, letters of recommendation, etc., and submit with this form.

PHOTOS: Mandatory requirement for all awards. Please include at least five (5) quality jpeg image of the nominee for use during the awards presentation.

DEADLINE: All nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2023.
