Animal Friend, Inc. whereby sales of the license plate fund spay/neuter grants. Animal control agencies at

Floridians interested in reducing pet overpopulation in Florida can now purchase the newly issued Florida
Animal Friend Spay/Neuter License Plate. The specialty license plate is available at any license tag office.

The Spay/Neuter License Plate has an annual cost of $25.00 above the standard
renewal fee. The great news is that you do not have to wait for your license plate renewal notice; you can replace
your current tag at any time! Simply bring your automobile registration and driver’s license to any license tag
office and you can walk away with your new Spay/Neuter License Plate and the
knowledge that you will have prevented the birth of an unwanted litter of puppies and kittens.
The Spay/Neuter License Plate will help stop pet overpopulation. At present,
hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats are killed each year due to overpopulation. Supporting the Spay/Neuter
License Plate will help reduce the number of dogs and cats that are killed simply because they do not have
a home.
The $25.00 that is raised from each purchase of the Spay/Neuter License Plate
will be distributed through grants to nonprofit and government animal control agencies to fund spay/neuter programs
statewide. The goal is to raise enough money to prevent unwanted births of puppies and kittens and thereby reduce
the number of animals abandoned on the streets and the number euthanized in shelters.

Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Animal
Control Association, The Humane Society
of the United States, and local animal advocates.
